Prerequisite: FRE 101 or two years of high school French, or equivalent, with consent of instructor.

FRE 103: Conversation (3)

Prerequisite: FRE 102 or two or three years of high school French, or equivalent, with consent of instructor.
Intermediate-level course emphasizing systematic development in French conversation; study of structure as needed. (Offered as needed.)

FRE 104: Topics and Issues in a French Speaking World (3)

Prerequisite: FRE 102 or two to three years of high school French, or equivalent, with consent of instructor.
Intermediate-level course emphasizing development of writing, reading, and conversation through exploration of social, cultural, and political issues in the French-speaking world; study of grammatical structure as necessary. (Offered as needed.)

FRE 295: Introductory Topics in French (1-3)

Prerequisite: to be determined by the Division of Humanities and Fine Arts.
An introductory study of a specific topic within French. Intended for freshmen and sophomores, or for students with little or no background in French. The student may repeat the course, but not the topic. (Offered as needed.)
