Hands-on Experience
By the time you graduate from the of ASL-English Interpreting program, you'll have 600 hours of field experience under your belt—more field time than any other program in the country requires. To help put things into perspective:
- A month of 40-hour work weeks only has 173 hours.
- It would only take 415 hours to travel around the earth at 60 mph.
- It would only take 168 hours to watch all 19 seasons of The Simpsons.
By the time you graduate, you'll have more than just a bachelor's degree—you'll have what works out to be a little over four months of full-time, on the job training. It's part of what makes Keuka College the national leader in experiential, hands-on learning.

Field Period Opportunities
The ASL-English Interpreting program features an interpreting practicum, a semester-long supervised interpreting internship, and many opportunities for observing, shadowing, and working alongside professional interpreters.
