Pre-Law at Keuka College
At Keuka, there has been a pre-law advisory system for years that has succeeded in placing nine of every ten pre-law students in law schools of their choice. The advisory system includes a well-developed growth plan utilizing field period placements in law offices, with district attorneys, public defenders, and other organizations in the criminal justice system. Pre-law students need to develop their writing, critical thinking, and analytic reasoning skills as well as their base of knowledge of the evolution and content of the legal system in the United States. The courses recommended in the list below are the minimal recommendations: we work with students one-on-one to develop a four-year curriculum best suited to their interest and goals.
