Career Services assists students and alumni with career development by providing support and guidance to help promote personal and professional success. We understand distance barriers, and are fully able to work with you via telephone and Internet.
Career Exploration – We provide students with interest, value, and skill assessment resources, including SIGI3, Strong Interest Inventory, and various online resources. Individualized career counseling is offered for students to explore academic major and career path options.
Résumé & Cover Letter Writing – Individual résumé and cover letter review appointments, the Résumé & Cover Letter Guide, along with various online resources are available to students.
Job Interviewing – Mock interviews with constructive feedback (can be video recorded), the Job Interview Guide, and individualized counseling are provided.
Job Search Assistance – Job search fundamentals are taught through individual career counseling, the Job Search Guide, and various online resources.
Storm Tracker – This system provides students and alumni with full- and part-time job opportunities, an employer directory, and career-related announcements.
Graduate School Advisement – Students can receive assistance with finding graduate programs, the application process, and preparing for graduate school. The Grad School Guide and various other resources are available in the Career Resource Library. Practice entrance exam (GRE, GMAT, LSAT, etc.) sessions are held on campus as well.
Credential Files – Any student can create a credential file, which is a compilation of his/her résumé and at least three letters of recommendation. The file is used during the employment and/or graduate application process.
On- and Off-Campus Events – Networking events, job and internship fairs, graduate and law school fairs, on-campus recruiting, and career-development workshops are offered.
